The Brief

Our client was seeking to extend their existing warehouse building to provide for additional manufacturing area, storage capacity and to improve their overall operational efficiency.

Being owner occupied, it was also a focus of the client to increase return on investment for the commercial building, located in a thriving industrial estate in Smithfield NSW.

Our Innovative Solution

Drawing on over 25 years experience in custom buildings for the industrial and commercial sectors, the team at Techspan designed, engineered and manufactured the building extension to meet the clients brief.

In the design phase, Techspan considered the existing building, site dimensions and boundary allowances.

The result was a building design that integrated seamlessly into the existing structure, enabled maximum available floor area and high accessibility and functionality.

The 23m (w) x 21m (l) x 5.2m (h) structure was made of a structural steel frame and steel cladding finished in a colour to match the existing building.

Techspan included PA doors, roller doors and a custom mezzanine area with staircase.

Another feature in this building was the sections of translucent roof sheet used to enable the area to be filled with natural light.
