The Brief

A horse training business in Kootingal NSW identified the need for a new purpose built horse training facility that could support their growing business and create an environment that fosters animal health and wellbeing.

Our Innovative Solution

Drawing on over 25 years experience in custom buildings, sheds and covers for the agribusiness and rural sectors, Techspan partnered with the client, their architect and builder through the design, engineering, manufacture and construction stages of this horse training facility.

The 41m (w) x 120m (l) x 6.5m (h) main structure consists of a structural steel frame, colourbond steel roofing and cladding to the gables and office/viewing areas.

14m (w) awnings were also included to each long elevation to provide additional space for horse stables, handling areas and more.

One of the key features of this project include the large ridge-vent integrated into the main roof area designed to maximise air flow and heat dispersion.

The clients brief was to achieve a highly functional facility for their business operation, but their vision was to also maximise aesthetic appeal – this is evident as soon as you see this building; cathedral style awning to the front of the building (integrating the two office/viewing buildings), the natural timber feature panels (also carrying through to the front and side entry gates), modern colour selections and more.
