TechSpan worked closely with an earthworks contractor in Casino, NSW to design and build a large custom industrial machinery storage and maintenance shed, structured to work for their equipment.
The client needed a large shed to protect their earthmoving equipment from the elements, and provide an area to perform routine maintenance. The shed needed large openings for easy access, large bays to suit the equipment sizes, and to be able to handle heavy equipment driving in and out of the shed.

Size & Structure
40m (W) x 40m (L) x 9m (H)
- Structural Steel
- 10m Bays
- 10x8m Door Openings x 4
- Top roll heavy Duty sliding doors
Our Innovative Solution
The resulting shed has 10-metre bays, and a high eave height to ensure that all the machinery can easily be driven in and out of the shed. To make it even easier, there are four 10 metre wide and 8-metre high door openings, so that two out of the four bays are drive-through.
To ensure the doors stand up to years of machinery in and out of the shed, the design incorporated heavy-duty top hung sliding doors so there are no tracks to get damaged at ground level.
TechSpan also incorporated the ability to add a 10-metre awning along each side into the design for future expansion.
