TechSpan worked closely with GrazAg Rural Supplies to design, manufacture and install a large warehouse shed in Armidale, NSW.
The Brief
GrazAg needed a new warehouse shed with a drive-through loading bay incorporated, and joined to the existing shed on the site.
The shed design needed to be optimised to allow for efficient use of space with internal pallet racking, and be engineered for additional roof loading to allow solar panels to be installed.

Our Innovative Solution
Working closely with GrazAg, TechSpan created a shed design that met all their needs and was structured to work.
The design incorporates a 15m drive-through loading bay at one end. This allows for all-weather truck loading and unloading. This was achieved with a double girder truss and removed column design. It is this end that also joins to the existing warehouse shed to allow all-weather operations in all parts of the structure.
For ease of moving products, the shed design includes a 10m wide by 5.0 m high door opening, with top roll sliding doors to minimise the impact on the bottom track.
The internal size of the shed is optimised to neatly fit the largest amount of pallet racking without any wasted space, ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently.
The full structure is engineered for additional roof loading to ensure solar panels can be installed.
