TechSpan worked closely with Newlands Constructions and Wagners Corp to design and manufacture a purpose-built industrial workshop in Narangba QLD.

When one of our good clients were presented with the challenge of a 4000m2 multi-tenancy industrial warehouse for the Wagners Corporation, the expectations were high and the timeframe; short. Techspan were please to be able to assist in delivering this project to an excellent result.

Our Innovative Solution

The building was to be divided into 3 industiral units each with a 10 tonne gantry crane and a 90/90/90 fire separation. Techspan achieved this by building 3 freestanding structures and installing a concrete fire wall between each unit. This enabled us to phase the build saving valuable weeks on site. It also proved to be an efficient structural design saving our client money on the materials.

The units required a mezzanine storage area for heavy spare parts. Techspan designed a 10KPA (approx. 1 Tonne/m2 capacity) Mezzanine floor with access stairways and hand railing.

To enable all-weather use of the Roller-Shutter Doors, Cantilever Awnings were included over each door.

Because of the nature of the operations in the building, natural ventilation was required to assist with fume managment. Louver vents and roof ventilators solved this problem efficiently.

Architectural feature cladding to front wall to achieve the requirement of the local development controls for articulation in the external cladding of the building.
